1.innerText : It will work fine in InternetExplorer and Chrome but not in Firefox.

Eg: To get the Text :

       var text =  document.getElementById(‘element’).innerText;

     To set the Text :

     document.getElementById(‘element’).innerText = “Hello Wold”;

For Firefox: contentText need to be used

To get the Text :

var text = document.getElementById(‘element’).textContent;

To set the Text

document.getElementById(‘element’).textContent = “Hello World”;
